Author Dean Brownrout - "No Big Deal"

Author Dean Brownrout joins Pop Fuss to discuss his tragicomic new book, "No Big Deal: Chasing the indie music dream in the last days of the record business." As the founder of power pop label "Big Deal" in the 90's, Dean recounts his rock and roll journey by booking bands at age 15, having brunch with Metallica while booking them for one of the most important shows of their young career, cold calling Todd Rundgren, signing the Goo Goo Dolls, and more! It's a crazy story that all music fans will enjoy. And of course, power pop fans fondly recall his label for bringing us seminal bands of the genre, when the music got hot in the 90's. And Dean has graciously offered to send a book to a lucky listener!

Today, Bitters is one of the most promising alt pop acts around, releasing uber catchy pop/rock - think Shirley Manson or Alanis Morrisette but with more pop hooks!
